A professionally installed pool fence is one of the smartest ways to create a safer backyard and add an important layer of protection around the pool. Our NH pool fencing solutions are designed for homeowners who want a fence that improves safety, keeps sightlines open, and fits the look of the yard without the bulky feel of traditional barriers.

We install Protect-A-Child pool safety fences with modular mesh panels, patented I-beam composite posts, and removable or permanent installation options. That gives homeowners a stronger, cleaner-looking pool fence system that works well for everyday family life and still offers flexibility when needed.

Pool Fencing For Safe Backyards

Pool Fencing That Makes Backyards Safer

A pool fence creates a physical barrier between the water and the rest of the yard, which helps limit unsupervised access and supports a stronger pool safety plan. For homes with children, pets, grandchildren, or frequent guests, pool fencing adds peace of mind while still allowing visibility into the pool area.

Whether you are installing a new pool, moving into a home with an existing pool, or upgrading old backyard safety features, a custom pool fence can help create a safer and more functional outdoor space.

Why NH Homeowners Choose Pool Safety Fences

Pool safety is one of the most important decisions a homeowner can make. In New Hampshire, where backyard pools are a staple of summer life, an unsecured pool presents a serious risk to young children, pets, and visiting guests.

Drowning remains the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1 to 4, and most incidents happen in home pools — often in seconds and without a sound.

  • Help reduce unsupervised access to the pool.

  • Add protection for children, pets, and visiting family.

  • Maintain visibility with a mesh pool fence design.

  • Fit a wide range of pool shapes and backyard layouts.

  • Support a layered approach to pool safety.

At MValley Fence, we install Protect-A-Child pool safety fences across New Hampshire, combining patented technology, superior strength, and a clean modern design that protects your family without compromising the look of your backyard.

Removable Pool Safety Fencing

Protect-A-Child removable pool fences give you the flexibility to secure your pool when you need it and remove the fence when you don't — all without tools. Built with patented I-Beam composite posts and super-transparent mesh, it is the strongest and most attractive removable pool fence available today.

The Protect-A-Child Difference —
Engineered for Strength, Designed for Safety

Not all pool fences are built the same. Protect-A-Child is the only pool fence manufacturer using patented I-Beam composite post technology, delivering unmatched strength, durability, and a clean modern finish. As an authorized Protect-A-Child dealer serving New Hampshire, we install the strongest removable pool fence available — backed by decades of innovation and American manufacturing.

Patented I-Beam Composite Posts

Protect-A-Child's I-Beam composite posts are engineered to withstand over 160 lbs of force at the standard 3-foot height — far exceeding anything aluminum can offer. Non-conductive, UV-resistant, and built with color baked in, these posts will never bend, rust, chip, scratch, or overheat. It is the structural backbone that makes Protect-A-Child the strongest pool fence in the industry.

Self-Closing Gates & Secure Locking Options

Every Protect-A-Child installation includes a self-closing safety gate engineered to meet and exceed pool code requirements. The gate features a Magna-Latch magnetically triggered latch, Tru-Close spring-loaded hinges, and a key-lockable system for added security. Combined with the patented Point-Lock child-safe latch, your pool entry point is always secured — even when you forget to close it yourself.

The team at Mvalley Fence did an incredible job with our new 6-ft white vinyl privacy fence installation! I received a quote within 48 hours of contacting them, and their schedule had unexpected availability, so they were able to come the following Monday to do the entire install for a 280 ft. long fence around the entire perimeter of our property.

Speed was an important factor to us since the home didn't have a fence and we have pets that needed a safe place to roam, so we're really grateful that they were able to make things work so quickly and hammer out the project in a single day.

Great experience overall, and I'll definitely work with them again if I have future fence installation needs.

MV fence went above and beyond to complete the installation of the new fence by my pool and repair old fencing that was in my backyard. They completed on schedule and in a timely manner at a fair price.

Great all around. Once on site they bang it out. To add once completed i asked for an adjustment as they were working with existing fencing and they responded. Black Chainlink.

Bill was incredibly friendly and did excellent work repairing our fence after a storm started to cause it to lean and squirrels pulled down some of the panels.

He was able to work around several trees and their roots, secured the posts way better than what was original there, and even made the panels far more even than they were in height. He was communicative the whole way from start to finish and respectful of our time.

When it comes time to repair other sections of the fence or replace it in the future we will definitely call him again. Thanks Bill!

Frequently Asked Questions About Pool Fencing in NH

MValley Fence exclusively installs the Protect-A-Child pool safety fence system throughout New Hampshire — the only pool fence built with patented I-Beam composite posts engineered to withstand over 160 lbs of force without bending, rusting, or overheating.

The system uses super-transparent mesh panels that clip between posts, a self-closing safety gate with Magna-Latch and Tru-Close spring hinges, and a Point-Lock child-safe latch. Every installation is custom-measured and custom-fit to your specific pool shape, deck surface, and yard.

Can I choose between removable and permanent?

Yes. The Protect-A-Child system is available in both removable and permanent configurations. Most NH homeowners choose the removable option — posts snap in and out of permanent deck sleeves in seconds with no tools required, so you can take the fence down for the off-season and reinstall it in under 30 minutes in the spring.

A professionally installed pool fence in New Hampshire typically costs between $1,500 and $3,500, depending on the perimeter of your pool. Most standard in-ground pools — 30 to 50 linear feet — fall in the $1,800 to $2,600 range.

That price includes the free on-site measurement, all posts and hardware, professional installation, the self-closing safety gate, and hole covers. There are no hidden fees — you receive a clear written quote before any work begins.

How long does installation take?

Most NH pool fence installations are completed in a single visit — typically 2 to 4 hours from arrival to final walkthrough. You will have a fully installed, gate-tested fence the same day our installer arrives.

Yes — in most cases, a code-compliant pool fence lowers your homeowners insurance premium. NH insurance carriers typically classify an unprotected in-ground pool as an attractive nuisance, which increases your liability risk and your rate. A four-sided pool fence that meets NH code signals a significant reduction in that risk, and many NH homeowners report saving $100 to $300 per year after installation.

Contact your insurer before and after installation and provide a copy of your written quote and installation documentation to support the rate adjustment.

Does insurance cover the fence itself?

The fence structure may be covered under your dwelling or other structures coverage. Ask your insurer specifically whether removable versus permanent installation affects that coverage, as policies vary.

Yes. The Protect-A-Child mesh panels extend to within 2 inches of the deck surface, leaving no gap large enough for most dogs to squeeze under. The mesh provides no footholds or climbable surface, and the I-Beam posts resist over 160 lbs of force — enough to stop even large, determined dogs from pushing the fence over. The self-closing, self-latching gate engages automatically every time, so there is no risk of a pet nosing it open.

What if I have a very large or escape-prone dog?

For large breeds or dogs that test fences aggressively, the Lock-In-Deck permanent configuration provides the highest resistance. We can discuss the right setup for your situation during your free on-site estimate.

Yes. Neither a pool cover nor a pool alarm satisfies New Hampshire’s pool barrier law — NH state code requires a physical fence meeting minimum height, mesh spacing, and gate standards, regardless of any other safety measures you have in place.

Beyond the legal requirement, pool alarms only alert you after a child has already entered the water, and a standard solar cover or winter tarp can actually trap a child beneath it. A four-sided pool fence reduces a child’s risk of drowning by 83% according to the CDC — no alarm or cover achieves that level of protection.

Should I still use a cover and alarm if I have a fence?

Absolutely. The fence is the foundation, but layering in a self-closing door alarm and a certified safety cover (ASTM F1346) adds meaningful additional protection. Use them together, not instead of each other.

Call or text MValley Fence at 978-689-2125, or fill out the estimate request form on our Contact page. We will schedule a free on-site visit — typically within 3 to 5 business days — where our installer comes to your property, measures your pool perimeter, evaluates your deck surface, and designs a custom layout. You receive a clear written quote the same day with no obligation and no follow-up pressure.

How soon can installation be scheduled?

Most NH homeowners who approve their quote are scheduled within 1 to 2 weeks. During peak season (June through August) lead times can stretch to 2 to 3 weeks. Off-season appointments — spring and fall — are often available the following week.
